This amazing product was brought to our attention as a device that increases the effect of HHO gas in engines, by breaking down the fuel “into smaller pieces” before it hits the engine. The device utilizes waste heat from the engine’s coolant, to heat up precious metal catalysts, which further refine the fuel prior to injection. Cal-Cat explanation:
Cal-Cat is short for Calorie-Catalyst. It is a coolant to fuel heat exchanger that uses wasted or unused heat from the engine's coolant to heat the fuel and the Precious Metal Catalyst inside the catalyst chamber. By heating and catalyzing the fuel we are able to speed up its ability to vaporize inside the engines intake manifold and inside the cylinder.
By heating the catalyst inside the Cal-Cat, the catalyst reacts with the fuel molecules and helps them to break down large hydro-carbon chains to make them able to be used earlier in the combustion process. Normally these hydro-carbon chains do not vaporize until very late in the combustion process if they vaporize at all while in the combustion chamber. Think of it as a “mini-refinery”. In short, it enhances combustion performance.
Wasting up to 82% of your fuel dollar is due in part to the fuel being sprayed into your engine in liquid form which does not burn. The Cal-Cat heats up the fuel and breaks down some of the larger molecules. This makes more of your fuel available during the combustion cycle. In essence your fuel is more in harmony with engine physics. Using the analogy of a wood stove, which is easier to burn, a log or wood chips?
Employing this normally wasted engine heat and a multi-stage catalyst, the Cal-Cat makes gasoline and diesel more compatible with your engine. You can feel the power right away. Your exhaust and engine stay cleaner.
The Cal-Cat does not make any fuel, or perform any other tricks. It allows more of the fuel going into the engine to vaporize earlier, which in turn enables more of the fuel to produce power not wasted as heat in the exhaust or as pollutants in the air.
